Members of Kissed Alive spotted Dollins at the Zombie Kill Squad Cosplayers booth during Cosplay Con 2013 and asked her to introduce the band. She will also have a table during the after party to meet fans, take pictures and sign autographs. Kissed Alive is hoping to get Marissa onstage to join in a couple songs!

National American Miss California Marissa Dollins

2012 Inland Empire Zombie Beauty Queen’s Court – Marissa Dollins

The National American Miss Pageant is the largest natural all ages pageant in America. Marissa has competed in pageants for seven years now. She is currently Miss California and was last year’s National American Miss California Teen. She competed in the Inland Empire Comic Expo’s Zombie Beauty Pageant in 2012 (sponsored by Forbidden Panel), earning a spot in the Queen’s Court. She plans to take the top prize in this year’s Zombie competition. Dollins added she is “Honored and beyond excited to have the privilege of introducing “Kissed Alive!” at the Grand Prix after party!”

KISSED ALIVE is a KISS tribute band and will be performing after the race in Long Beach this Friday. You can find details about their show here. Check out the show and meet Marissa Dollins!

First off, I wanted to thank our fans for coming out.  It was so amazing to see what a following we have.

Wondercon saw the release of 2 new books from us.  The Plagued #2 from Daniel Whitfield.  You can now purchase this on our store in booth CBR and PDF format.  It also saw the release of our first anthology book, Forbidden Tales.  We also have this available in our store in both CBR and PDF.  If you enter B1EQ4TOVGMZX into the coupon section you will get $2 off.

Wondercon was also our chance to show off the 2nd IE Zombie Beauty Queen and her court.  They had a fantastic time wandering the halls and scaring everyone.

We had a fantastic showing from the ZKS Cosplayers as well.

The show ended with a raffle that we held.  We were giving away a canvas that had zombies drawn on it from all of our artists.  Congratulations to Valentina Zamora-Arreola for winning!

Wondercon was a fantastic time had by all and we can’t wait to come back next year!

The 2013 Convention Season is getting started in a BIG way for Forbidden Panel! WonderCon 2013, at the Anaheim Convention Center in Southern California, will be the first show of the year for the group. Talent from the Forbidden Panel catalog of books will be on hand with new issues, art prints and more. The artists and writers are also going to be making a one of a kind art piece throughout the weekend that will be raffled off at the end of WonderCon. Forbidden Panel’s Inland Empire Comic Book Expo will be bringing the Queen and her court from the 2012 I.E. Zombie Beauty Pageant to take photos with fans and sign autographs. In addition, special guests Necro-Sapien Press, Rivets Comics, Blackbird Bows, the cast of Comic Book Live, the PODCrash with Chris Gore, and Adrianne Curry will also be hanging out at the booth. One of the biggest stories of 2012 was the acquisition of the Star Wars Universe by Disney. Since the mouse bought Lucasfilm and associated properties news has been breaking consistently about the coming of a new Star Wars film, Episode 7, in 2015. But who wants to wait 2 years?! The improv group at Comic Book Live is going to bring “Star Wars VII: The Phantom Hope” to the IO West THIS weekend!

This Saturday, January 12, the night kicks off with PODCRASH with G4′s Chris Gore and the “Blue-Milk tasting,” followed by a special Dr. Who improv show and then the main event, Comic Book Live’s Star Wars Episode VII. The Comic Book Live group will be joined by guest stars Mika Tan, Justine Joli and Brett Butler. Stick around after the show for a special performance by Jedi Elvis and drink specials in the SuperBar. More details can be found on their Facebook page.
