After two flawed and ultimately failed attempts in the past ten years, Marvel looked liked it would have no luck turning its big green monster character The Hulk into a franchise. Then came “The Avengers”.

Another "Hulk" Movie After All?

Early reviews from all over have cited Mark Ruffalo’s iteration of the Hulk and his performance as both a highlight of the film and easily the best take on the character yet. The praise has been enough that Marvel’s Kevin Feige, who previously said the other week there are no plans at the moment to do another Hulk, may be reconsidering his position.

Speaking with Forbes, Marvel rep Paul Glitter says the company could “spin him [The Incredible Hulk] off to a stand-alone [TV] program next year” followed by “a big budget franchise movie in 2015.”

Ruffalo himself has previously said that he’s signed for six Marvel films. The question is whether this big screen entry would be a standalone film or a possible “Avengers” sequel – a scenario that’s more in line with Kevin Feige’s plans to be very careful and deliberate with the character’s use on film.
