Fox Adapts “Kick Ass” Author’s “Superior”
20th Century Fox has acquired the film rights to “Wanted” and “Kick Ass” author Mark Millar’s 2010 limited series “Superior”.
The story revolves around a young boy stricken with multiple sclerosis who is granted one wish by an alien monkey: to become a Superman-like superhero named Superior.
Problems arise when the boy learns that the monkey isn’t an alien, but a demon who demands the boy’s soul in return for his transformation. If not, his wish will be undone and he will return to his original form.
Matthew Vaughn, who directed the first “Kick Ass” film and the upcoming adaptation of Millar’s “The Secret Service,” will produce.
Fox is now currently seeking a writer to adapt the comic.
