“Hitman” Scribe Adapts “Hack/Slash” For TV

Skip Woods (“Swordfish,” “A Good Day to Die Hard,” “Hitman”) has been hired to pen the script for a dark and gritty TV series adaptation of the cult comic “Hack/Slash”.

The story centers on Cassie Hack, a young woman who has become a killer of killers and travels to small towns across the country hunting hunting homicidal maniacs and serial killers in the vein of horror icons like Freddy Krueger and Michael Myers.

She is partnered on her journey with Vlad, a hulking companion who serves as her protector. The property has spent many years in development as a film with the likes of Marcus Nispel, Fredrik Bond and Todd Lincoln attached as directors at some point. Woods and Adrian Askarieh will executive produce the series.
