Skip Woods (“Swordfish,” “A Good Day to Die Hard,” “Hitman”) has been hired to pen the script for a dark and gritty TV series adaptation of the cult comic “Hack\/Slash”.<\/p>\n

The story centers on Cassie Hack, a young woman who has become a killer of killers and travels to small towns across the country hunting hunting homicidal maniacs and serial killers in the vein of horror icons like Freddy Krueger and Michael Myers.<\/p>\n

She is partnered on her journey with Vlad, a hulking companion who serves as her protector. The property has spent many years in development as a film with the likes of Marcus Nispel, Fredrik Bond and Todd Lincoln attached as directors at some point. Woods and Adrian Askarieh will executive produce the series.<\/p>\n
