DC has done a solid job over the last few years with their direct to video animated features. Granted, there have been exceptions here and there and the stories just don\u2019t work now and again, but Justice League vs. Teen Titans isn\u2019t one of the exceptions. I know that others may disagree, but from my standpoint, it accomplished everything that it should.<\/p>\n

Sure, it may be due to the fact that I am biased when it comes to any halfway decent Teen Titans storyline, but I don\u2019t think so. The story for Justice League vs. Teen Titans revolved around Trigon as an enemy force. There was also more than a little bit in the development of Damien Wayne. Everything involving the Titans got started thanks to Damien\u2019s actions. The Justice League was dealing with one of their many encounters, and Damien was supposed to be there in a support capacity. After failing to follow orders and messing up one of Batman\u2019s plans, he was shipped off to the Titans for training in how to work as part of a team. It felt a bit forced and unnecessary, but it served to link up both the Justice League and the Teen Titans through a single character. There was conflict, confrontation, and growth, but what else do you expect with a bunch of superpowered teenagers?<\/p>\n

Seeing the current take on these characters was interesting. The core feel for the Justice League characters hasn\u2019t changed any from any of the recent DC Animated Universe features, and it is good that they are keeping them consistent and true to the current state of the characters in the comics. It has been a long while since I saw an incarnation of the Teen Titans or have read any of their comics. It was fun to see the current take on Starfire, Blue Beetle, Beast Boy, and Raven. The characters have changed since the last I saw them used in anything, but each of them still felt true to the characters I have known.<\/p>\n

As always, DC didn\u2019t phone it in when it comes to quality of both animation and voice talent. Including the likes of John Bernthal, Rosario Dawson, Jerry O\u2019Connell, and Shemar Moore shows just how much DC puts into recruiting talented and recognizable voice actors to portray iconic characters.<\/p>\n

All in all, Justice League vs. Teen Titans was a great ride. Even if you aren\u2019t a Trigon\/Raven fan or a Damien Wayne fan like I am, the story is still quite enthralling, the animation quality top notch, and the voice talents brought to bear are more than enough to keep even a casual fan entertained throughout the show.
