Studios to adapt the comic company\u2019s action thriller <em>Talent<\/em>.Moritz and Original Films banner picked up <em>Talent<\/em> via their discretionary fund.<\/article>\n<article class=\"blog-post-body js-fitvids-content\"><\/article>\n<article class=\"blog-post-body js-fitvids-content\">The project was previously set up at Universal, however Moritz and Boom! are starting from the ground up.<!--more-->The comic tells of a college professor who is the sole survivor of a plane wreck and who slowly discovers he&#8217;s inherited the abilities of the passengers who&#8217;ve died. He puts his new talents to use as he finds himself chased down by members of a shadowy cabal.<\/p>\n<p>It was created and written by Christopher Golden (<em>Baltimore<\/em>) and Tom Sniegoski (<em>Fallen<\/em>) and illustrated by Paul Azaceta (<em>Outcast<\/em>).<\/p>\n<p>Producing with Moritz will be Original\u2019s Toby Jaffe. Boom! CEO and founder Ross Richie and president of development Stephen Christy are producing for Boom! The latter\u2019s vp Adam Yoelin is executive producing.<\/p>\n<p>Boom! has a first-look deal with Fox, but <em>Talent<\/em> is the first project to find a home outside that relationship. Moritz has a first-look deal with Sony where he produces movies such as the <em>21 Jump Street <\/em>films, among others, so <em>Talent<\/em> could eventually land there.<\/p>\n<p>The activity on <em>Talent<\/em> also shows how Boom! continues to mine its deep catalog as the title, as well as <em>Mouse Guard <\/em>and<em> Irredeemable<\/em>, both of which are in development at Fox, are comics that were first published over five years ago.
