\u201cThe Umbrella Academy<\/a>\u201d series at\u00a0Netflix<\/a>\u00a0has found its main cast,\u00a0Variety<\/em>\u00a0has learned.<\/p>\n

The series is adding cast members Tom Hopper as Luther, Emmy Raver-Lampman as Allison, David Casta\u00f1eda as Diego, Robert Sheehan as Klaus, and Aidan Gallagher as Number Five.\u00a0They join\u00a0previously announced cast member Ellen Page,<\/a>\u00a0who will play Vanya.<\/p>\n

The live action series follows the estranged members of a dysfunctional family of superheroes (The Umbrella Academy<\/a>) \u2013 Luther, Diego, Allison, Vanya, Klaus and Number Five \u2013 as they work together to solve their father\u2019s mysterious death while coming apart at the seams due to their divergent personalities and abilities.<\/p>\n

Hopper just wrapped shooting a starring role opposite Amy Schumer and Michelle Williams in Voltage\/STX\u2019s comedy \u201cI Feel Pretty.\u201d Most recently, he played Dickon Tarly in Season 7 of \u201cGame Of Thrones.\u201d Hopper also starred as Billy Bones in Starz\u2019s \u201cBlack Sails.\u201d<\/p>\n

Raver-Lampman is the breakout star of the national touring company of \u201cHamilton.\u201d After being a part of the original ensemble on Broadway, she was promoted to the role of Angelica Schuyler for the West Coast run. Her previous Broadway credits include \u201cJekyll & Hyde,\u201d \u201cHair,\u201d and the national touring company of \u201cWicked.\u201d \u201cThe Umbrella Academy\u201d marks her first television role.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Casta\u00f1eda is currently shooting the Billy Crystal-Ben Schwartz comedy, \u201cWe Are Unsatisfied.\u201d His recent work includes a lead role in the independent feature \u201cEl Chicano,\u201d opposite Raul Castillo and George Lopez. He also stars alongside Benicio Del Torro and Josh Brolin in Lionsgate\u2019s forthcoming \u201cSoldado,\u201d the sequel to the hit film \u201cSicario.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/header>\n<\/article>\n<\/section>\n

Gallagher starred as Nicky on Nickelodeon\u2019s Emmy-winning series \u201cNicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn,\u201d which recently\u00a0ended after three seasons<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Sheehan famously portrayed Nathan on the British series \u201cMisfits.\u201d He will also appear in the film \u201cMute\u201d on\u00a0Netflix<\/a>, the second part of a planned trilogy from writer-director Duncan Jones that began with \u201cMoon.\u201d In December, he\u2019ll star in Christian Rivers\u2019 \u201cMortal Engines,\u201d a sci-fi-fantasy movie co-written and produced by Peter Jackson. For television, Sheehan is currently shooting the second season of \u201cGenius,\u201d which chronicles the life and work of Picasso.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Umbrella Academy\u201d series is based on the graphic novels of the same name created and written by Gerard Way, illustrated by Gabriel B\u00e1, and published by Dark Horse Comics. The series will be produced by Universal Cable Productions. Steve Blackman will serve as executive producer and showrunner, with additional executive producers Bluegrass Television and Mike Richardson and Keith Goldberg from Dark Horse Entertainment.
