Here\u2019s what would happen if\u00a0Masters of the Universe<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0met Clive Barker.<\/p>\n

Last we heard, David S. Goyer was in talks to direct a brand new feature film adaptation of the iconic\u00a0Masters of the Universe<\/em>\u00a0property, which of course originally made the leap from the toy shelf\/small screen to the big screen way back in 1987. That film was home to some\u00a0awesome monster makeup<\/a>, and one hell of a badass Skeletor.<\/p>\n

When you think about it, the monsters of the\u00a0Masters of the Universe<\/em>\u00a0franchise are as iconic as the heroes; one could argue that Skeletor is even more popular and well-known today than even He-Man himself. So wouldn\u2019t it be awesome if we got a\u00a0Masters of the Universe<\/em>\u00a0spinoff movie that was, essentially, a scary monster movie?!<\/p>\n

Artist\u00a0Paul Gerrard<\/strong>, who worked as a conceptual designer on next year\u2019s\u00a0Hellboy<\/em>, imagined such a movie with a series of\u00a0MOTU<\/em>\u00a0concept art that we can\u2019t get enough of. Gerrard imagined characters such as Skeletor, Evil-lyn, Trap Jaw, Man-E-Faces and\u00a0Modulok in his own, horror-influenced style, and the results are incredibly cool.<\/p>\n
