If this past weekend\u2019s release of Marvel Studios \u201cBlack Panther\u201d has taught us anything, it\u2019s that brilliant young girls run the world. Lunella Lafayette, it\u2019s time for you to take center stage!<\/p>\n

Marvel TV today revealed that \u201cMarvel\u2019s Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur\u201d (working title) is in development. Based on the hit comic book series, the animated project follows the adventures of nine-year-old super-genius Lunella Lafayette, an African-America girl who teams up with her crimson-colored dinosaur and uses her smarts to save the day.\u00a0Lunella, A.K.A. Moon Girl, was created by\u00a0Brandon Montclare<\/a>,\u00a0Amy Reeder<\/a>, and\u00a0Natacha Bustos<\/a>\u00a0(and colored by\u00a0Tamra Bonvillain<\/a>) in 2015\u2014and the world\u2019s smartest person hasn\u2019t looked back since!<\/p>\n

\u201cMarvel\u2019s Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur\u201d is being produced by Marvel Animation and Cinema Gypsy Productions (Laurence Fishburne and Helen Sugland, producers of \u201cblack-ish\u201d and \u201cgrown-ish\u201d) with visual and animation development services by Titmouse, Inc. The animated project is in consideration for a Disney Channels Worldwide series<\/p>\n
