Netflix has handed out an eight-episode series order for live-action drama series based on Jeff Lemire\u2019s famed DC Vertigo Comics title \u201cSweet Tooth\u201d which hails from Warner Bros. Television.<\/p>\n

James Brolin will lend his voice as the show\u2019s narrator while Will Forte (\u201cMacGruber\u201d), Adeel Akhtar (\u201cThe Big Sick\u201d), Nonso Anozie (\u201cGame of Thrones\u201d) and Christian Convery (\u201cBeautiful Boy\u201d) will star.<\/p>\n

Robert Downey Jr., Susan Downey, Amanda Burrell and Linda Moran are set to executive produce the project described as a family-friendly and broad appealing work following the storybook adventures of Gus \u2013 part deer, part boy \u2013 who leaves his home in the forest to find the outside world ravaged by a cataclysmic event.<\/p>\n

He joins a ragtag family of humans and animal-children hybrids like himself in search of answers about this new world and the mystery behind his hybrid origins.<\/p>\n

Jim Mickle (\u201cHap and Leonard\u201d) and Beth Schwartz (\u201cArrow\u201d) are set to pen the script, executive produce and serve as co-showrunners. Mickle also will direct.<\/p>\n
