The TV upfronts aren’t until next week, but Fox has essentially tipped its hand early today with confirmation via\u00a0TV By the Numbers<\/a> that it has cancelled every single one of its shows that we’re still on the bubble.<\/p>\n

Five are gone – “Lie to Me,” “Breaking In,” “Traffic Light,” “The Chicago Code,” and “Human Target”. Another on the bubble show, “Fringe”, was thankfully renewed for a full season last week.<\/p>\n

The cancellation leaves only two shows from this past season (“Raising Hope,” “Bob’s Burgers”) and two from last season (“Glee,” “The Cleveland Show”) still airing. Only four hour-long dramas survived the cull: “Bones,” “Fringe,” “Glee” and “House”.<\/p>\n

The network is ready to fill the void though with a bunch of new shows about to be slotted in. Four shows have scored pickup – the J.J. Abrams mystery “Alcatraz”, the “Bones” spin-off (but very “Burn Notice”-esque) “The Finder”, the Zooey Deschanel comedy “The New Girl” and the sitcom “I Hate My Teenage Daughter” have all been ordered to series.<\/p>\n
