Ryan Reynolds\u2019 Maximum Effort production company is teaming with Nacelle on a reboot of the animated series \u201cBiker Mice from Mars\u201d.<\/p>\n

Rick Ungar created the original series, which ran in syndication in the mid-1990s with 65 episodes produced across three seasons. The rights to the series eventually ended up at Disney back in 2001 when they acquired Fox Kids worldwide.<\/p>\n

The series followed Throttle, Modo, and Vinnie \u2013 three survivors of a race of anthropomorphic Martian mice who enjoyed motorsports and had a very similar culture and society to that of human beings.<\/p>\n

Said race was essentially wiped out by the fish-like humanoids known as the Plutarkians. The trio escaped the takeover and crashlanded in Chicago.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Along with a charming female mechanic named Charlene \u2018Charley\u2019 Davidson, the Biker Mice must defend Earth from the Plutarkians in an attempt to finally return to their homeland.<\/p>\n

Nacelle plans to co-produce with Maximum Effort and Fubo. Reynolds says in a statement:<\/p>\n

\u201cSome people know that I am a motorcycle enthusiast, so it was only natural for us to jump on board Biker Mice from Mars. Maximum Effort and Fubo look forward to putting a new spin on this cult classic with our friends at Nacelle.\u201d<\/p>\n

Brian Volk-Weiss will direct the pilot and serve as executive producer alongside Cisco Henson, Matt Kravitsky, Michael Goodman, George Dewey, Kevin Hill, Patrick Gooing, David Gandler, Pamela Duckworth and Reynolds.<\/p>\n

The project will mark the first animated series on the Maximum Effort Channel, which is home to original and classic TV and movies. It\u2019s available to watch on Fubo, Tubi, Amazon Freevee, LG Channels, Plex, Sling Freestream and Xumo Play among others.<\/p>\n
