As previously reported, Warner Brothers TV is developing a series adaptation of DC’s Wonder Woman character entitled “Amazon” at The CW.<\/p>\n

Now, a casting director has been set and a wide ranging search has begun to find a young woman who fits the mould of the title character. In this “Smallville”-esque incarnation, we’ll see how she became the super powered female warrior we know her to be.<\/p>\n

To help with the search, a character breakdown has appeared online and reveals not just character elements (including a name change), but some big plot points as well. Take a look below:<\/p>\n

She comes from a remote, secluded country and until now has spent most of her life as a soldier and a leader on the battlefield. Because of relentless brutality of her life at home, Iris looks at our world with absolute awe and astonishment. She\u2019s delighted and just as often horrified \u00ad by the aspects of everyday life that we take for granted: skyscrapers, traffic, ice cream.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s all new and fascinating and sometimes slightly troubling \u00ad to her. Iris is completely unschooled in our world, our culture, our customs. And she\u2019s completely inexperienced at interpersonal relationships. She has no social filter, does not suffer fools, and tends to do and say exactly what\u2019s on her mind at all times.<\/p>\n

She\u2019s bluntly, refreshingly honest. She can tell when you\u2019re lying to her. And she doesn\u2019t have time or patience for politics or tact because she\u2019s too busy trying to experience everything our world has to offer. There are too many sights to see \u00ad and things to learn \u00ad and people to care for.<\/p>\n

Hers is a true, noble, and generous heart. And she will fight and die for the people she loves. Iris is a fierce warrior with the innocent heart of a romantic \u00ad and she will fight to the death to make the world safe for innocents and true romantics everywhere.<\/p>\n

Despite all the movement on the casting, the show has yet to be ordered to pilot.<\/p>\n
