Inception<\/a><\/strong> star\u00a0Joseph Gordon-Levitt<\/strong> is in talks to reunite with Christopher Nolan for the director\u2019s third and final Batman film,\u00a0The Dark Knight Rises<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s unclear what role Gordon-Levitt will play in the film, though he has been rumored in connection with the threequel sincelast summer<\/a>. \u00a0However, Nolan\u00a0struck down<\/a> Internet rumors that the Riddler would appear in the film, as well as any notion that the Joker would make a return without the late Heath Ledger. \u00a0The oft-rumored Hugo Strange is also a possibility, though details of the character\u2019s involvement are pure speculation at this point.<\/p>\n

Anne Hathaway<\/strong> has already been confirmed as Selina Kyle (a.k.a. Catwoman) and Gordon-Levitt\u2019s\u00a0Inception<\/a> <\/strong>co-star\u00a0Tom Hardy<\/strong> is playing the musclebound baddie Bane. \u00a0A third villain isn\u2019t out of the question, but would certainly complicate the plot as Nolan is building to a finale.<\/p>\n

Another option would be Dick Grayson, a young circus performer orphaned by a mafia boss and taken in by Bruce Wayne (played by\u00a0Christian Bale<\/strong>). \u00a0In the comics, television series, and the 1995 movie\u00a0Batman & Robin<\/strong>, Grayson ultimately becomes Robin, Batman\u2019s crime-fighting sidekick. \u00a0Gordon-Levitt certainly has the chops to play the \u201cBoy Wonder,\u201d but both Nolan and\u00a0Bale<\/a> have downplayed the possibility of introducing Robin into this gritty Gotham. \u00a0(Nolan said Grayson was in a \u201ccrib somewhere\u201d during\u00a0The Dark Knight<\/strong>.) \u00a0Does that rule out Nightwing?<\/p>\n

Shooting starts this Spring and, according to\u00a0Deadline<\/a>, the 29-year-old actor will have completed his starring role in Rian Johnson\u2019s\u00a0Looper<\/strong>, a sci-fi time travel film with Bruce Willis that should hopefully be on everyone\u2019s radar by now.<\/p>\n
