MMO gaming event strives to raise $50,000 for charity<\/em>\u00a0<\/b><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n


\n<\/strong>Bottomline Guild is proud to announce\u00a0GamePocalypse 2013<\/strong>, a massive gaming event to support the Wounded Warrior Project. Spanning a variety of Massively Multiplayer Online (MMO) games including\u00a0Rift<\/em>,\u00a0World of Warcraft<\/em>,\u00a0Guild Wars 2<\/em>, and\u00a0PlanetSide 2<\/em>, gamers will be participating in events running for 24 hours, starting at 12:00AM Central Standard Time, March 16th, 2013. All proceeds from the\u00a0GamePocalypse 2013<\/strong>\u00a0event will go directly to charity, and\u00a0GamePocalypse<\/strong>‘s organizers are hoping to raise $50,000 for our troops.\u00a0As part of the event, FleshEatingZipper will be donating prizes courtesy of Sony Online Entertainment. Rob Morris, FleshEatingZipper’s Senior Talentless Bum, is ecstatic for the event.\u00a0“The chance for a bunch of gamers to give back to those who have fought for our safety and freedom was something we couldn’t pass up. Where’s the sign up sheet?”<\/p>\n

Other\u00a0GamePocalypse 2013<\/strong>\u00a0sponsors include Bossrigs.com, who will be raffling off a gaming PC, and Rounds Down Range. A large number of gaming guilds will also be participating in the event.\u00a0“It [GamePocalypse 2013<\/strong>] represents two things that are dear to me: playing games and helping others that are in need.
