NBC has given a pilot order for David Goyer’s “Constantine,” a TV series adaptation of DC’s “Hellblazer” graphic novels.\"NBC<\/p>\n

The story follows John Constantine, an enigmatic con man and reluctant supernatural detective struggling with his faith.<\/p>\n

Haunted by the sins of his past, he is suddenly thrust into the role of defending humanity from the gathering forces of darkness.<\/p>\n

Daniel Cerone “Dexter” penned the pilot and is exec producing alongside Goyer. The character was previously adapted for the screen in 2005’s “Constantine” starring Keanu Reeves, albeit a relatively loose adaptation.<\/p>\n
