It was Lucasfilm\u2019s turn at the Disney investor day conference and there was more news and reveals than you could throw a lightsaber at.<\/p>\n

First up, they confirmed that Hayden Christensen will reprise the role of Anakin Skywalker\/Darth Vader for the upcoming \u201cObi-Wan Kenobi\u201d limited series for the Disney+ service. That series takes place a decade after the events of \u201cStar Wars: Episode III \u2013 Revenge of the Sith\u201d.<\/div>\n

Next up, two new series were announced with both taking place in around the same time period as \u201cThe Mandalorian\u201d (several years after \u201cReturn of the Jedi\u201d). One is \u201cAhsoka,\u201d a series starring Rosario Dawson as fan favorite character Ahsoka Tano which Dawson brought into live-action form recently on \u201cThe Mandalorian\u201d. The other is \u201cRangers of the New Republic\u201d \u2013 an original series but specifics there are unknown. Both new series will be overseen by Dave Filoni and Jon Favreau.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s not all though. Another new series announcement was \u201cLando,\u201d a series about Lando Calrissian with \u201cDear White People\u201d creator Justin Simien in early development of the show.<\/p>\n

Then there\u2019s the new series \u201cThe Acolyte,\u201d a female led mystery-thriller that will \u201ctake viewers into a galaxy of shadowy secrets and emerging dark-side powers in the final days of the High Republic era.\u201d That hails from \u201cRussian Doll\u201d creator Leslye Headland.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s also \u201cStar Wars: Visions,\u201d an original series of animated short films celebrating this universe through the lens of the world\u2019s best Japanese anime creators with that coming in 2021.<\/p>\n

Next comes \u201cA Droid Story\u201d, an adventure film with Lucasfilm Animation and Industrial Light & Magic teaming to create that. The \u201cepic journey will introduce us to a new hero guided by R2-D2 and C-3PO\u201d.<\/p>\n

Finally two clips were shown with first looks at the animated \u201cThe Bad Batch\u201d series and \u201cAndor,\u201d and a featurette on the Cassian Andor TV series on the way.<\/p>\n
