Colin Hanks has landed a recurring role on the sixth season of Showtime’s “Dexter” reports\u00a0TV Line<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Hanks will play Travis, described as a “highly intelligent young expert on ancient artifacts who gets linked to a series of grisly murders in Miami.”<\/p>\n

Julia Stiles, Johnny Lee Miller, Peter Weller and Maria Doyle Kennedy had recurring roles last year. This season there are three further recurring characters introduced – a young Latina grad student, the new lab intern and buddy of Masuka, and a no-BS African-American homicide detective.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Showtime has released a new teaser promo for the season which essentially gives away the biggest spoilers of the show’s first four years (oddly there’s no mention of the events of the fifth).<\/p>\n
