A Boba Fett Series To Film Shortly

The second season premiere of “The Mandalorian” last week ended on a surprise appearance, not unlike the series premiere with its first Baby Yoda appearance.

While Timothy Olyphant’s character Cobb Vanth sported Boba Fett’s armor for much of the episode, it looks like Temuera Morrison’s Boba Fett himself pops up in the final moments – having seemingly escaped an apparent death in a Sarlacc Pit in “Return of the Jedi”.

Today, Deadline reports that no matter what happens across the rest of this season, a “Boba Fett” TV series may not only be in the works but could be coming sooner than you think – in fact it might be shooting as early as next week.

The trade claims there’s confusion over shooting dates on the third season of “The Mandalorian” due to the level of secrecy in the Lucasfilm camp. One explanation is another Mandalorian-related project like a possible Boba Fett miniseries, is coming first with a late November/early December start while the third season of “Mandalorian” will begin filming early next year.

It’s not clear how Fett’s involvement will play out on the second season of “The Mandalorian” as yet so what the series could cover is not clear.
