Newman To Helm Chewbacca Tale

“Fanboys” director Kyle Newman is developing “Chewie”, a film about 73″ Chewbacca actor Peter Mayhews life, for Inferno Entertainment says Heat Vision.
Evan Susser and Van Robichauxs Black List script is set against the backdrop of the making of “Star Wars” in 1977 and tracks Mayhew trying to balance a career as a hospital worker and chasing Hollywood dreams.
Newman has secured Mayhew’s life rights in order to further develop the script. Jess Rosenthal and D.J. Gugenheim will produce.
