Hellboy: The Crooked Man Teaser
The first official teaser has been released for “Hellboy: The Crooked Man,” the new indie comic book film directed by Brian Taylor, known for co-directing of “Crank,” “Crank: High Voltage,” and “Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance.”
Television actor Jack Kesy, known from FX’s “The Strain” and TNT’s “Claws,” steps into the red-skinned, half-demon shoes of Hellboy. Kesy also made waves as Black Tom Cassidy in the prison scenes in the blockbuster “Deadpool 2.”
Comic book maestro Mike Mignola, Hellboy’s original creator, co-wrote the screenplay with horror author and Hellboy writer Christopher Golden. The film is based off Mignola’s acclaimed graphic novel and story arc of the same name where Hellboy, alongside a rookie B.P.R.D. agent, delves into 1950s rural Appalachia, uncovering a community tormented by witches led by the infamous Crooked Man.
Alongside Kesy, the cast boasts names like Jefferson White, Joseph Marcell, Adeline Rudolph, Leah McNamara, and Martin Bassindale.
No official release date has been announced yet for “Hellboy: The Crooked Man,” marking a new chapter, following the much-criticized 2019 reboot starring David Harbour. However, Guillermo Del Toro’s earlier “Hellboy” films remain fan favorites.
