LOS ANGELES COMIC BOOK AND SCIENCE FICTION CONVENTION IS COMING UP THIS SUNDAY, APRIL 17, 2011 WITH SPECIAL GUESTS SHERRY JACKSON, JIM SILKE, DAN PANOSIAN, MARK BEACHUM, PLUS SPECIAL GIVE-AWAYS FROM UPCOMING FILM PRIEST 3D
UPDATE: This Newsletter updates and corrects some information sent earlier this week.
The Los Angeles Comic Book and Science Fiction Convention takes place this Sunday, April 17, 2011, and features Special Guests SHERRY JACKSON (Star Trek, Batman), Pin-Up Artist JIM SILKE, (JIM will have his original paintings for sale at the show as well as copies of his many art books), Marvel and DC Comics Artist DAN PANOSIAN, and Heroic Publishing Artist MARK BEACHUM. Artist Dave Johnson has informed the show that he can’t appear this Sunday, but everyone else is confirmed. Admission continues to be a reasonable $8.00, and everyone will receive a free Mini-Poster from the new horror Movie PRIEST (in 3D) while supplies last. Early Admission is $12.00 and begins at 9:10 A.M. (instead of usual 10:00 A.M. opening) and while supplies last everyone with this ticket will receive a Full Size PRIEST (in 3D) MOVIE POSTER.
There will also be a free drawing for full size Movie Posters from a new horror Movie FADING FROM THE CRIES autographed by Stars Brad Dourif (Chucky and Lord of the Rings Movies), Jordan Matthews, and Director/Writer Brian Metcalf. Jacob (Jordan Matthews), a young man armed with a deadly sword saves and protects Sarah from Mathias (Brad Dourif), a malevolent evil that has been plaguing a small farmland town with hordes of demonic creatures, while in search of an ancient necklace belonging to Sarah’s Uncle. Check the sign posted at the Admissions area for the drawing time which should take place around 1:00 P.M. in the Dealers Room. Save your admission ticket to participate, there will be many winners and you could be one of them.
The Dealers Room is the place to shop for the best prices on Comic Books, Toys, Trading Cards, Movie Memorabilia, and much more. Once again there’s several new dealers as well as the regular dealers with new selections. You easily get back your $8.00 admission with all the money you can save by shopping around.
The Los Angeles Comic Book and Science Fiction Convention takes place at the Shrine Auditorium Expo Center, 700 West 32nd Street, in Los Angeles across the street from USC College.
