“Battlefield: Bad Company” Turns TV Series
Electronic Arts‘ hit video game “Battlefield: Bad Company” is being turned into “Bad Company”, an hourlong action comedy TV series for FOX says Kotaku.
The story follows four renegade soldiers as they exit military life and enter the private sector. They soon realize their former C.O. used them to further the ends of a shadow unit within the government and now wants them dead to cover his tracks.
While the main “Battlefield” game series resembles the various other contemporary military multiplayer-centric first-person shooters on the market ie. “Call of Duty”, “Medal of Honor”, Bad Company was unique in that it was developed for consoles and focused primarily on a single player campaign with distinct characters.
Sony TV and Happy Madison are producing the series which “Alias” scribe John Eisendrath is writing and executive producing. Patrick Bach, Patrick O’Brien and Doug Robinson will also serve as executive producers on the series.
