Welcome to our countdown to the most anxiety-inducing horror films for parents!  Today is day twenty one!

Each day, we are covering the films I both love and hate because they’re awesome and they give me panic attacks now that I’m a mom.

Carrying on the same vein as our film from yesterday, it seems like a good day to dive into a title that crosses the barriers between dimensions.  It shows us a world between worlds and walks the bridge that binds film and gaming. Today we take a drive into my favorite of all haunted towns…

Disclaimer: Trigger warnings are a given when you talk about horror, but I’m going to say it anyway.  Many subjects covered by horror films are disturbing to parents in ways we can’t possibly understand and each is unique to the parent and his/her experiences. Tread carefully and know your limits.  If this begins to be too much, there’s no shame in closing the window.  Also, this post contains some spoilers throughout.

The first trailer for the highly anticipated film Logan.1qnxkvy

logan-trailer-dog-tags-front

This trailer is a far cry from the first 2 films in the franchise in that it depicts and more broken down, despondent version of Logan.  I, for one, really can appreciate the darker version of the character.

Loosely based on the Mark Millar story line of “Old Man Logan”, this film promises to pull out all the stops in a very adult version of the character.

Wednesday.  October 19th.  The day I saw one of the many horror films I swore I wouldn’t watch after having children.  Clearly, there is something wrong with me, or I’m just really obsessed with James Wan right now. (probably both)

Happy Monday, all!  Hope the weekend treated you well and you are of to a great week.  All is well here as I continue to dive into the darkest corners of parenting horrors for my own catharsis and your enjoyment. Today’s film of choice is an oldie but a goodie and continues along the path of demonic ritual and a clueless mother who once again is only doing her best to keep herself, and her baby alive… but should she?

Happy October 16th!  Today, because I’m a glutton, I’m continuing along Ed & Lorraine’s case list to a beautiful little home in Connecticut…

Today is the 15th and we are half way through our month-long horror countdown!  Today we are talking about another film based on the work of parapsychologists/demonologists; Ed and Lorraine Warren.  This one just happens to touch upon a prevalent subject in horror that tends to weaken the knees of even the bravest of horror connoisseurs.

In our review today, we take a look at another film based on the truth in Ed & Lorraine’s work as paranormal psychologists and ghost hunters.  These films are typically largely fiction, but what isn’t is that these occurrences always happened to families.  Children, fathers, and mothers were affected and infected in ways that had near devastating consequences.

EDIT

AJ would like to apologize.  During the news segment AJ mistakenly described Dakon’s claws for X-23.  X-23 does not have 3 claws in her hand.  The claws described were Dakon’s.
