Marvel’s “Avengers” Gets An Alternate Intro

With the DVD and Blu-ray release of “Marvel’s The Avengers” hitting international stores this week (and U.S. stores next month), bonus material from the disc has already begun to pop up online.

The most anticipated of course is the various deleted scenes, and one of them has already caused something of a stir – a dark and somber alternate version of the film’s opening scenes which essentially serves as a framing device for what’s to come.

The film has grossed $1.48 billion globally since its theatrical release back in May. Expect more cut scenes from the film to go online in coming days.
