New trailer for Zack Snyder’s ‘Twilight of the Gods’

“Rebel Moon” and “Army of the Dead” filmmaker Zack Snyder continues his collaboration with Netflix as he prepares to launch a new R-rated adult animated Viking fantasy series called “Twilight of the Gods.” The official trailer for this highly anticipated series has just arrived online.

The 2D animated series delves into Norse mythology, adding Snyder’s signature style to the epic tales such as “300,” “Watchmen,” and “Justice League.” It boasts an impressive voice cast, led by Sylvia Hoeks (“Blade Runner 2049”) as Sigrid, Stuart Martin (“Medici: Masters of Florence”) as Leif, Rahul Kohli (“Midnight Mass”) as Egill, Pilou Asbaek (“Game of Thrones”) as Thor, Paterson Joseph (“Wonka”) as Loki, and Jamie Clayton (“Sense8”) as Seid-Kona. The series also features voice guest appearances by John Noble, Kristofer Hivju, Peter Stormare, Jamie Chung, Corey Stoll, Lauren Cohan, Jessica Henwick, and many more.

Featuring animation done by the artists at the acclaimed French animation studio Xilam Animation (“I Lost My Body,” “Oggy and the Cockroaches”), “Twilight of the Gods” follows mortal King Leif (Stuart Martin) and the iron-willed warrior Sigrid (Sylvia Hoeks), who fall in love on the blood-soaked battlefield. However, their love story takes a dark turn when their wedding night is savagely attacked by the god Thor (Pilou Asbaek), setting them on a path of vengeance.
