Oculus Rift Launch Titles Revealed
The retail version of the Oculus Rift virtual reality system finally arrives and will be on sale to the public on March 28th from a starting price of $599, a system that will launch with thirty games. Today the full list of launch titles has been announced, and includes some obvious omissions. Here’s the key list:
ADR1FT, Adventure Time, AirMech: Command, Albino Lullaby, Audio Arena, BlazeRush, Chronos, Darknet, Dead Secret, Defense Grid 2, Dreadhalls, Elite Dangerous, Esper 2, EVE Valkyrie Founder’s Pack, Fly to KUMA, EVE Gunjack, Herobound SC, Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes, Lucky’s Tale, Omega Agent, Pinball FX2 VR, Project CARS, Radial G, Rooms, Shufflepack Cantina Deluxe VR, Smashing the Battle, The Vanishing of Ethan Carter, Vektron Revenge, VR Tennis Online, Windlands
Quite a few of these games have already been long available in non-PC form but will now have Oculus compatible versions available. Some of the more notable VR titles in the works however still don’t have a date as yet – such as rock-climber “The Climb” from “Crysis” studio Crytek, the Lovecraft-ian Antarctic tale “Edge of Nowhere” from “Ratchet and Clank” makers Insomniac Games, and the promising looking “Eagle Flight”.
