Vol 4.16

It must be nice to be the movie-version of Thor. I mean, it’s hard enough being the god of thunder – keeping up with all of the storms around the world and bringing down the thunder when it’s necessary, PLUS paying attention to all of your worshipers and answering prayers and whatnot. BUT AT LEAST he doesn’t have to deal with all of the junk going on in FEAR ITSELF.
In fact, movie Thor gets thrown out of Asgard, home of the gods, BUT can now do whatever he wants! No more answering prayers. No more full-time thunder watch. Just hang out. Eat a burger. Go to a comic shop.
I’d be movie Thor any day.

And don’t even get me started on movie Green Lantern and comic Green Lantern. Life sucks to be a comic book superhero.
At least they get cool costumes, eh?

Until next week…
Onward and Upward!

Thor Screening

On May 6, 2011, the wait for the release of Marvel Studios’ next film is finally over, as Thor unleashes the Odinson’s power on the silver screen for all to see. Marvel Comics’ Norse God of Thunder, Thor, comes to movie theaters this summer in this long-awaited film adaptation directed by acclaimed direct Kenneth Branagh (Henry V) and starring Chris Hemsworth as the God of Thunder, Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Natalie Portman as Jane Foster, and Sir Anthony Hopkins as Odin.

The anticipation for the God of Thunder’s movie has been building steadily for months, beginning with a teaser at the end of Iron Man 2 and then building with the release of subsequent promos – including the attachment of the first trailer to The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader and other popular films, a Super Bowl ad spot, and the more recent unveilings of the newest trailer and TV spot.
