New Hellboy and the BPRD and Lobster Johnson Series to Arrive in 2017

You can’t keep a good demon down, as it certainly seems as if Hellboy’s death and subsequent end in “Hellboy in Hell” #10 won’t be an impediment to further comics featuring the crimson paranormal investigator.

Hot on the heels of the announcement of “The Visitor, How and Why He Stayed,” by Chris Roberson and Paul Grist, Dark Horse has revealed two additional series set within the fantastical Hellboy world created by Mike Mignola: “Hellboy and the B.P.R.D.: 1954 – Ghost Moon” and “Lobster Johnson: The Pirate’s Ghost”

Although Mignola is stepping back from art duties to concentrate on his non-comics painting, he will contribute to the writing on both series.

“Hellboy and the B.P.R.D.: 1954 – Ghost Moon,” written by Mignola and Roberson, illustrated by Brian Churilla and colored by Dave Stewart, will take readers back to Hellboy’s earliest paranormal adventures, pitting him against a foe billed as a “familiar enemy with a new weapon.”lobster-johnson-the-pirates-ghost-1-cover

“Lobster Johnson: The Pirates Ghost,” written by Mignola and John Arcudi and illustrated by Tonci Zonjic, tells the tale of the pulp-era superhero, who must deal with a ghostly pirate ship on the Hudson River as he hunts for a major NY mob boss.
