“Samurai Jack” creator and “Hotel Transylvania” director Genndy Tartakovsky is attached to develop and direct a 3D CG animated “Popeye” feature for Sony Pictures Animation says Variety.
David Ronn and Jay Scherick “The Smurfs” are attached to pen the script about the spinach-loving seaman who appeared in the classic 30s comic strip and was previously adapted for the big screen by Robert Altman in 1980.
Avi and Ari Arad will produce.
